We received COP 3,499,502. This is how we used every peso.
To the 11 people who donated: thank you! This report is for you.
After the earthquake of 10 August 2026 in Chocó, Colombia, 11 people donated COP 3,499,502. With that money we bought temporary shelter supplies and food packages: 94 families with a recorded delivery at four locations in Quibdó. The 12 kits this report listed as outstanding were delivered on 23 August.

Fundraising results
Exact figures in Colombian pesos (COP), not rounded. Each one with its context alongside.
Balance in the fundraising account: COP 0. All the money has been spent and the aid has been delivered: the 12 remaining kits were handed out on 23 August.
What we did and when

With the money raised we bought temporary shelter supplies: air mattresses, tents, mosquito nets, black plastic sheeting, gloves and a stove. We also bought food for the families' animals.

We found homes with damaged roofs and walls. We put together the food packages at a partner's premises — non-perishable food plus a hygiene kit — and delivered them in the Alfonso López neighbourhood and at the shelter in the covered coliseum.

On the 15th we returned to Rionegro. On the 16th a partner distributed the tents in Las Palmas and the stove and clothes in Flores de Buenaños. On the 18th the last COP 350,000 went out: a COP 250,000 advance to a partner to put together 12 more food kits with the goods still left, and COP 100,000 in direct aid to a family in Quibdó who lost their home.
Confirmed deliveries
5 deliveries · 4 locations in Quibdó, between 14 and 23 August 2026.
The delivery to the coliseum shelter was recorded by the Emergency Operations Centre of the Quibdó Mayor's Office. It is the only part of the brigade certified by an entity other than us, which is why we publish it in full. The personal details of the person who received it are protected.

The 12 remaining kits have been delivered
This report committed to being updated once the 12 outstanding kits were delivered. They were delivered on Sunday 23 August 2026, with the goods still left and the COP 250,000 advance already listed among the 19 transactions. That is 12 more families, at the same restaurant where the delivery of 14 August had begun.
Part of the aid reached families that include people with disabilities, through Yenci Lloreda, who works with that community in Quibdó.

Use of funds
Six categories. Total COP 3,499,502.
The 19 expenses and payments, one by one
13.08.2026 — 18.08.2026Figures in Colombian pesos (COP). The list is complete, including the cash advance for the kits and the direct aid to one family. To protect personal data we do not publish the names of the partners or of the family who received those payments: the full information is recorded in the foundation's internal ledger.
We would rather keep the breakfast without a receipt on the list than delete it. Those who donated have the right to see even the small things.
Three published receipts
Here is the line-by-line detail: how many mattresses, how many mosquito nets, how many bars of soap and what each one cost. It is the same slip we were given at the till (in Spanish).
“We want to thank you for everything you did, because you came at the best possible moment.”
She coordinated this last delivery from her restaurant, the same place where the first ten food packages were handed out on 14 August.
Who delivered
The brigade ended as it began: people from Rionegro and people from Quibdó working side by side. Lorena and Hernán came from the foundation. Yenci Lloreda, Milena and Ehimi live in Quibdó, and they are still there now that the fundraiser has closed.
The emergency fundraiser has closed. Our work continues.
New donations go to our community theatre and dance work with women, LGBTIQ+ people and communities in eastern Antioquia. We will also publish how these funds are used.
The foundation is applying for Special Tax Regime status (Régimen Tributario Especial) with DIAN, Colombia's tax authority. While that process moves forward, we can give you a certificate of your donation if you ask for one, but for the time being that certificate would not qualify for a tax deduction.
